Biography
Dr. von Düring was born in Geneva, Switzerland, and completed his training in internal medicine and ICU (FMH) before coming to Toronto in 2020. He worked for two years as a Clinical Fellow in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and has joined the Clinical Epidemiology Masters program at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME). He has now joined the Department of Critical Care at UHN/MSH to pursue a research fellowship with a focus in mechanical ventilation.

Areas of Interest/Research
His main area of academic interest is respiratory failure and mechanical ventilation, with a particular interest in the mechanisms of ventilator induced lung injury and mechanical power targeted ventilation.
