Biography
Dr. Ponomarev completed training in anesthesia and intensive care in Novosibirsk, Russia, in 2009. Since then he has worked in a cardiac surgical program, where he combined clinical duties and research.

In 2012, he obtained his MSc in Biostatistics degree from the University of Glasgow, which was followed by PgCert in Clinical Research from the University College Dublin in 2015, and MSc in Health Technology Assessment from the University of Glasgow in 2018.

Following his interest in evidence-based medicine, Dr Ponomarev completed the European Respiratory Society fellowship in guidelines methodology in 2018. Currently, he serves in a joint task force of the European Respiratory Society and European Society of Intensive Care Medicine for clinical practice guidelines.
