Bio

Dr. Maria Jogova completed a double major in Honours Physiology and Psychology at the University of British Columbia and her Medical Degree at the University of Toronto. She then completed her post-graduate Internal Medicine and Critical Care training at the University of Toronto. She served as the Chief Medical Resident at St. Michael’s Hospital during her final year of internal medicine and as Chief Resident in her final year of critical care training.

She is passionate about teaching and medical education and is completing a Masters in Medical Education at the University of Dundee. She is particularly interested in communications training around goals of care discussions and the continuum of critical illness and care. She is currently serving as the Deputy Program Director of the UHN-SHS International Critical Care Fellowship Program and as the Curriculum Lead for the IDCCM at the University of Toronto.  She is passionate about improving the educational experience for critical care trainees through curriculum and program development.
