Bio
Dr. Thiago Bassi finished his medical training in Brazil where he worked as neurosurgeon for ten years. The curiosity to study brain-lung communication led Dr. Bassi to immigrate to British Columbia, Canada where he defended his PhD in ventilator-associated brain injury.
Since 2022 Dr. Bassi has joined Dr. Ewan Goligher’s lab to translate the preclinical findings of his PhD into the clinical environment. The contact with critical care ignited in Dr. Bassi a passion for this dynamic field of medicine which led him to this critical care clinical fellowship.
