Bio
Dr. Sabri Soussi graduated from El Manar University, Tunis, Tunisia in 2007 (MD) and completed his specialty training in Anesthesiology and Critical Care in 2010. In 2011, he passed his French MD equivalency and began clinical activity in anesthesiology and critical care as an attending physician in La Pitié-Salpétrière and St Louis University Hospitals in Paris, France.
In 2015, Dr. Soussi received his certification in critical care ultrasonography (mainly transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography and lung ultrasonography) from Paris Descartes University. In 2018, he obtained a Master’s Degree in clinical research and pharmacovigilance from Sorbonne University, Paris. His research has focused on identifying clinical (mainly hemodynamic patterns) and novel biomarkers to improve mortality risk stratification in critically ill burn patients. In Toronto, he is setting up a PhD collaborative project with Dr. Claudia Dos Santos (St. Michael’s Hospital) to identify different sub-phenotypes/endotypes of critically ill patients in a large international cohort with a biobank (the FROG-ICU cohort) using machine learning tools.
