Nikolaos Evangelatos

Dr. Evangelatos is a critical care medicine and internal medicine specialist from Greece. Prior to coming to Toronto, he worked at the ICU of the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Allergology and Sleep Medicine, Paracelsus Medical University (PMU), Nuremberg, Germany. He also holds the Dr. TMA Pai Endowment Chair in Research Policy in Biomedical Sciences and Public Health, Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH), at Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India and is an affiliated researcher with Maastricht University (UNU-MERIT) in the Netherlands.

Besides his medical degree, he holds two Master’s degrees in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology, University of Athens, Greece, and in European Studies in Science, Technology and Society from University of Lund, Sweden. Furthermore, he has obtained a DMSc in Medicine, University of Athens, Greece, and a Ph.D. in Public Health Genomics from Maastricht University, the Netherlands.
