Katelijne Buyck

Dr. Buyck was born in Brussels and grew up as the daughter of an anaesthesiologist and a surgeon. She has three siblings. She studied at Leuven and returned to Brussels during her residency. She graduated from the University of Leuven, Belgium, as a medical doctor in 2013. Then she trained as an anaesthesiologist during a five year residency at the University Hospital of Leuven; a tertiary referral centre. During her clinical training, she gained experience in anaesthesiology as well as in intensive care medicine. She completed 9-months of training in the Department of Intensive Care at the University Hospital of Leuven.
