Dr. Nava Maham is a critical care physician at Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network. She completed medical school followed by residency training in internal medicine, respirology and critical care at the University of Toronto. She holds a master’s degree in quality improvement and patient safety from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. .

Before joining the group at the Toronto Western Hospital in 2019, Dr. Maham worked at Mississauga Hospital, Trillium Health Partners.
Area of academic focus
Her areas of interest are improving the care of mechanically ventilated patients, end of life care, and quality improvement education. Dr. Maham teaches in the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Master of Science program at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto.
