Biography
Dr. Pettenuzzo completed his medical degree at Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy) in 2011 and his residency in Anesthesia, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine in 2017 at the University Hospital of Padova. During the last year of his residency, he was appointed as research fellow at the Interdepartmental Division of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Toronto, Canada. His research interests focused on mechanical ventilation during extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in the acute respiratory distress syndrome, speckle-tracking echocardiography during extracorporeal life support, and patient-ventilator interaction during neurally-adjusted ventilatory assist.
