Biography

Dr Irene Telias was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She completed medical school at the University of Buenos Aires. She is a specialist in Internal and Critical Care Medicine. She has been a fellow in Toronto from 2015 to 2017, initially as a clinical fellow and then as a combined research and clinical fellow. She is back in Toronto doing a clinical and research fellowship while she pursues a Msc-PhD focused on applied respiratory physiology at the University of Toronto

Area of academic interests
Respiratory physiology, more specifically respiratory effort during mechanical ventilation and its influence on ventilation induced lung injury and diaphragmatic dysfunction.
