Dr Irene Telias was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She completed medical school at the University of Buenos Aires. She is specialist in Internal and Critical Medicine. She has been a fellow in Toronto since 2015, initially as a clinical fellow and currently as a combined research and clinical fellow

Area of academic interests
Respiratory physiology, more specifically respiratory effort during mechanical ventilation and its influence on ventilation induced lung injury and diaphragmatic dysfunction.
