Biography
Dr. Diana Morales completed her medical degree from Universidad de Costa Rica in 2011; she undertook her anesthesia and recovery specialty at the same university and completed it in February 2015. The same year, she started a Masters´ Degree in Perioperative Medicine from the University College of London. When she finished her postgraduate training, she worked at a trauma centre, where she led the anesthesia service for one year. During that time she worked with a multidisciplinary team to standardize the surgical pathway and created the first preoperative consult of anesthesiologists in Costa Rica. She completed a critical care fellowship with UHN/Mount Sinai in 2018, and returned for a fellowship focused on Critical Care Echocardiography and ECLS.
