Biography
Born and raised in Punta Arenas at the very south end of Chile, Dr. Kraunik completed his medical education at Universidad de Concepción in 2008, where he also finished his residency in Internal Medicine by 2012. Since then he’s been appointed as a Professor at the Internal Medicine Department at Universidad de Concepción. Between 2015 and 2018 he held the position of Director at the Internal Medicine Residency program and successfully led the process of update and accreditation. He completed his training in Critical Care at Hospital Las Higueras and obtained his certification as an Intensive Care specialist by the Corporación Autónoma de Certificación de Especialidades Médicas in 2018. He completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology at Universidad de la Frontera and is getting ready to defend his thesis.
