Biography
Dr. Buyck was born in Brussels and grew up in a little town at the border of the city as the daughter of an anaesthesiologist and a surgeon. She has three siblings. She studied at Leuven and returned to Brussels during her residency. Currently, she is still living in Brussels and eager to live in another city. She graduated from the University of Leuven, Belgium, as a medical doctor in 2013. She trained as an anaesthesiologist during a five year residency at the University Hospital of Leuven; a tertiary referral centre. During her clinical training she gained experience in anaesthesiology as well as in intensive care medicine. She completed a 9-month training in the Department of Intensive Care at the University hospital of Leuven.
