Biography
Dr. Ghislaine Douflé completed her Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine residency in 2011 in Paris, France. She subsequently enrolled in the Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship Program of the Toronto General Hospital. In 2013, she joined the Interdepartmental Division of Critical Medicine of the University of Toronto and is currently appointed as Education Lead of the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the Toronto General Hospital. Dr Douflé is fully certified for transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography and is a supervisor for the EDEC (European Diploma of Echocardiography) and NBE (National Board of Echocardiography). She leads the advanced critical care echocardiography curriculum and fellowship. Her main interest is in medical education and echocardiography with a special focus on extracorporeal life support (ECLS).
